Information about me

My name is Yelyzaveta Kovika. I am a psychologist, psychotherapist, and trauma therapist. My journey in psychology began in 2014 when I started my education at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, majoring in General Psychology. After graduating, I became a client in various psychotherapy approaches and found the Gestalt approach to be the most effective and enjoyable. This experience led me to choose Gestalt therapy for my further education and professional development as a psychotherapist.

I conduct consultations using the Gestalt approach. In September 2023, I will graduate from a 4-year Gestalt education program and will be certified as a Gestalt therapist.

I am currently preparing to pursue a PsyD in Clinical Psychology and to become a registered psychotherapist in the state of California.

My hobbies include cooking; I previously ran a small cooking blog where I shared my recipes. I also enjoy traveling around the world, as it allows me to experience different cultures and cuisines. Whenever I return from my travels, I always bring back a bunch of spices, sauces, and other cooking essentials. My favorite country to visit is Iceland—it’s simply incredible. If I had to picture myself as a country, I would definitely choose Iceland: friendly but a bit introverted. I adore mountains, winter, snow, and nature.
